Here at Modernising Medical Microbiology, we do science that aims to improve the treatment of patients with infections. We do this by studying the DNA of bacteria that cause infections (and some that don’t), and by using information from large hospital databases.
We couldn’t do this without working as a team. We have Lab Scientists, Doctors, Nurses, Computer Scientists, Bioinformaticians, Mathematicians, Physicists, and many more! There are many different career pathways that can lead to a job in science, studying infections. Click on the image above to see one example of how we work together!
Some of us have written a bit about the some of the careers, and some links to more advice. Go have a look!
